Volleyball Game Preview: Vandalia Christian Vikings vs. Faith Christian Eagles

After both having extra time off, the Vandalia Christian Vikings and the Faith Christian Eagles will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. Vandalia Christian comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Vandalia Christian came up short against Alamance Christian last Thursday, falling 3-0.

While Vandalia Christian was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Alamance Christian's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-12, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Faith Christian didn't have quite enough to beat Cramerton Christian Academy on Tuesday and fell 3-2. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Crusaders: they've now lost three in a row.

Faith Christian wouldn't go down easily and took Cramerton Christian Academy into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking seven-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-14, 22-25, 21-25, 15-8.

Faith Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Vandalia Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-13.
