Rhinebeck scored the most runs they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 13-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Millbrook Blazers. The Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Blazers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Henry Lehane stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI and one run. Those RBI were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jacob Stephan, who went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases and one run.

Rhinebeck's loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Millbrook, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

While Rhinebeck had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
