Basketball Recap: Jac-Cen-Del Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Jac-Cen-Del was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 49-39 to the Lawrenceburg Tigers. The Eagles were down 41-21 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Despite the loss, Jac-Cen-Del still got an impressive performance from Brooklyn Simon, who went 5 for 12 en route to 14 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance gave Simon a new career-high in points. Kellsie Bedel was another key player, putting up five points and six boards.

Lawrenceburg got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Elliana Fox out in front who posted ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubree Labazzo, who earned nine points.

Jac-Cen-Del's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-12. As for Lawrenceburg, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-7.

Jac-Cen-Del wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 35-26 victory against Hauser on the 17th. As for Lawrenceburg, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-29 win against Switzerland County on the 17th.
