Volleyball Game Preview: Dexter Demons vs. Jal Panthers

The Dexter Demons are taking a road trip to face off against the Jal Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Dexter came up short against West Las Vegas on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Demons in their meetings with the Dons: they've now lost four in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-21, 25-15.

Dexter's defeat came about despite a quality game from Emily DeLaRosa, who had 13 assists and two aces. DeLaRosa is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 17 games she's played dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Jal suffered their biggest loss since November 7, 2024 on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to Tatum.

While Jal was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Tatum's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-18, 26-24.

Jal's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Dexter, their loss dropped their record down to 11-5.

Dexter was able to grind out a solid victory over Jal in their previous matchup back in August of 2024, winning 3-1. Do the Demons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
