Football Recap: Ypsilanti Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Ypsilanti extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 3-5. They took a blow against the Tecumseh Indians, falling 41-0. The shutout was out of character for the Grizzlies seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.

Kyre Reid and Zarion Smith certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Reid rushed for 115 yards and one score, while Smith rushed for 65 yards on only seven carries.

As for Tecumseh, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3. The contest marked their most dominant win of the season.

Tecumseh found their leader in sophomore Chance Gormley, who rushed for 144 yards and one touchdown while picking up 9.0 yards per carry, and also threw for 30 yards and one TD.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ypsilanti will face off against Mt. Pleasant at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Oilers' defense has only allowed 13 points per game this season, so the Grizzlies' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Tecumseh, they will square off against Madison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
