            Having just played yesterday, the Lutheran South Academy Pioneers will get right back to it and host the St. Agnes Academy Tigers  at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Lutheran South Academy will be strutting in after a  win while St. Agnes Academy will be coming in after a  loss.
Lutheran South Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most  points they have   all season. They really took it to Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart for the full four quarters, racking up  a  60-33 victory. The Pioneers pushed the score to  47-27 by the end of the third, a deficit the Chargers had  little chance of recovering from.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lutheran South Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Sam Averyt, who  dropped  a double-double on 15 points and ten  rebounds. Another player making a difference was  Annaliese De La Pena, who  posted 16  points.
 Lutheran South Academy  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 17  offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least 11  offensive rebounds in six consecutive  contests.
 Meanwhile, St. Agnes Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They were four  points away from ending the streak, but they lost a  36-32 heartbreaker at the hands of Oceanside Collegiate Academy. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states  (they are ranked 411th in Texas, while the Landsharks are ranked 38th in South Carolina).
 St. Agnes Academy's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Lutheran South Academy, their win  ended  a  three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 5-10.
 Lutheran South Academy might still be hurting after the  46-23 defeat they got from St. Agnes Academy  in their previous meeting  back in November of 2019. Thankfully for Lutheran South Academy,  Sammy Meyers (who  went 6 of 10  on her way to 18 points) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
