Basketball Recap: Decatur Takes a Loss

If Decatur was riding high fresh off their 88-60 takedown of West Morgan last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Decatur Red Raiders fell just short of the Sulligent Blue Devils by a score of 73-70 on Friday.

Decatur's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Sulligent, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

The future could be bright for both Decatur and Sulligent: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Decatur will try to hand John Carroll Catholic their fourth-straight defeat when the two meet at 12:40 p.m. on Saturday. Similarly, Sulligent will look to extend Shoals Christian's 12-game losing streak when the meet at 3:20 p.m. on Saturday.
