North Bay Haven Academy is 0-3 against South Walton since September of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The North Bay Haven Academy Buccaneers will be playing at home against the South Walton Seahawks at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, North Bay Haven Academy strolled past Graceville with points to spare, taking the game 45-26.
North Bay Haven Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayden Spurlock, who rushed for 135 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Lakota Johnson, who threw for 285 yards and a touchdown while completing 82.4% of his passes.
Meanwhile, South Walton didn't have too much trouble with Bay at home two weeks ago as they won 35-19. The win was just what South Walton needed coming off of a 66-30 defeat in their prior match.
South Walton had a senior duo take command as Carson Hawk threw for 259 yards and two touchdowns and Cooper Darke picked up 121 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Their wins bumped North Bay Haven Academy to 4-4 and South Walton to 5-3.
