Baseball Game Preview: Edgewood Lions vs. Glendale Nitros

The Edgewood Lions will challenge the Glendale Nitros at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Edgewood is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest loss since February 26th on Monday. They lost 10-3 to West Covina. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Noah Ramirez made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. He is becoming a predictor of Edgewood's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 3-1 (and 1-6 when he doesn't). Tony Madriz also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Glendale's offense. They came up short against Crescenta Valley on Tuesday, falling 7-0.
