Baseball Recap: Southside Takes a Loss

Southside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Fort Payne Wildcats. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Panthers have suffered since April 1, 2024.

Southside's defeat dropped their record down to 19-7. As for Fort Payne, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Wildcats beat Southside by a score of 9-5 later that day.
