Midland extended their postseason success on Saturday against Socorro. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Socorro, sneaking past 6-4. Six seems to be a good number for Midland as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Kamryn Weir spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits.

On the hitting side, Avrey Ochoa was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Bree Battenfelder was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Midland is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-6 record this season. As for Socorro, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 30-3.

As of now, neither Midland nor Socorro have any future games scheduled.
