Soccer Game Preview: Roaring Fork vs. Mead

The Roaring Fork Rams will face off against the Mead Mavericks at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Roaring Fork's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Aspen as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That's two games straight that Roaring Fork have won by exactly three goals.

Meanwhile, Mead came tearing into Tuesday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Golden Eagles with a sharp 6-0 win. It was an even better day for Katy Adler as she scored three goals for her team.

Mead pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 24 goals over those four contests. As for Roaring Fork, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3-3 record this season.
