Basketball Game Preview: Soddy Daisy Trojans vs. East Ridge Pioneers

The Soddy Daisy Trojans will take on the East Ridge Pioneers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Soddy Daisy's favor as the team sits on ten straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while East Ridge has been banged up by ten consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

Last Thursday, Soddy Daisy was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 40-39 to Signal Mountain. The matchup marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, East Ridge lost a heartbreaker to East Hamilton when they met back in January of 2023, and they left with a heavy heart again on Tuesday. East Ridge lost 67-46 to East Hamilton. While losing is never fun, the Pioneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 309th, while the Hurricanes are ranked 73rd).

East Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Soddy Daisy, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

Soddy Daisy was able to grind out a solid victory over East Ridge in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 55-44. Will Soddy Daisy repeat their success, or does East Ridge have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
