Recap: Delta Rabbits vs. Richfield Wildcats
The Delta Rabbits struggled with assists on Friday (the Richfield Wildcats had eight more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Delta ended up on the wrong side of a rough 61-36 walloping at the hands of Richfield. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Delta has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Delta still got an impressive performance from Cai Henderson, who scored 27 points along with two blocks. Henderson hasn't dropped below 16 points for 13 straight games. Bronco Bundy was another key contributor, scoring five points.
Miles Barnett was his usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with four steals for Richfield. The team also got some help courtesy of Malik Fautin, who scored three points along with 11 rebounds and three steals.
Delta has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 13 of their last 16 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season. As for Richfield, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-7.
Delta will head out on the road to take on Providence Hall at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Delta is facing Providence Hall at the right time seeing as Providence Hall is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Richfield, they will square off against Carbon at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Richfield focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Friday.
