Basketball Recap: Huntingdon Christian Academy Beats Great Commission for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Huntingdon Christian Academy waltzed into their match on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Great Commission Bears by a score of 46-39. The 46-point effort marked Huntingdon Christian Academy's lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Despite the loss, Great Commission still got an impressive performance from Landyn Summers, who went 11 for 25 on his way to 22 points and six steals. Summers has become a key player for Great Commission: the team is 12-3 when he posts at least five steals, but 3-4 otherwise. Alex Guise was another key player, putting up six points and nine boards.

Huntingdon Christian Academy pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Great Commission, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 15-7 record.

Huntingdon Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Great Commission, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Blair County Christian at 7:00 p.m. on February 14th.
