Preview: Corinth vs. Itawamba Agricultural
Itawamba Agricultural will take on Corinth in each of the teams' third playoff game on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a win streak alive as Itawamba Agricultural skips in on 13 wins and Corinth on ten.
Itawamba Agricultural earned some more postseason success in their matchup last week. They had just enough and edged out West Lauderdale 9-7. Among those leading the charge for the Indians was Isiah Chandler, who rushed for 161 yards and one TD on 22 carries. This makes it 13 games in a row in which Chandler has produced a touchdown.
Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Corinth. They claimed a resounding 49-6 win over Rosa Fort. With Corinth ahead 35 to nothing at the half, the contest was all but over already.
It was close but no cigar for the Indians as they fell 45-42 to the Warriors when the two teams last met in last September. Can the Indians avenge their loss, or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll soon find out.
