Football Recap: Stanley Guymon Leads Coronado's Defense on Friday

After soaring to 38 points the game before, Coronado was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They took a 20-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Canyon Hills Rattlers. The matchup marked the Islanders' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Even if they lost, Coronado's defense still kept up the pressure with seven sacks. In that department, Stanley Guymon was the leader with five.

Coronado's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Canyon Hills, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

Coming up, Coronado will take on Morse at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Canyon Hills, they will host Hoover at 7:00 p.m. on the 25th.
