Madison-Ridgeland Academy won the last time they faced Simpson Academy and things went their way on Thursday too. The Patriots put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.

Madison-Ridgeland Academy never let Simpson Academy on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-16, 25-22.

Selah Sandridge paced Madison-Ridgeland Academy's offense, picking up 15 kills. Sandridge got some help from Keira Hariel and her 26 assists. Emerson Dorr controlled things from the service line, finishing with nine aces.

Madison-Ridgeland Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Simpson Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Madison-Ridgeland Academy will be playing at home against Lamar at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Simpson Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Pillow Academy at 6:00 p.m. on September 9.
