Volleyball Recap: Pardeeville Takes a Loss

Pardeeville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Markesan Hornets. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bulldogs have suffered since September 4th.

Pardeeville took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-16, 25-23.

Ava Wagner paced Pardeeville's offense, picking up five kills. Wagner got some help from Lexi Hughes and her 11 assists. Finally, Bronte Hulberg kept Pardeeville's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Leading Markesan to victory were Lettie Heiling and Greylyn Plath. Heiling had 15 digs and five aces, while Plath had four digs and three aces. What's more, Plath posted two assists, the most she's had since back in September.

Pardeeville's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Markesan, they pushed their record up to 9-19 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Pardeeville has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Rio on the 7th. As for Markesan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Fall River on the 7th.
