Football Game Preview: West Laurens Raiders vs. Jenkins Warriors + How To Watch

Two dominant backs in Ty Cummings and Dominique Johnson are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The West Laurens Raiders will take on the Jenkins Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Laurens is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

West Laurens is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Everything went their way against Oconee County as they made off with a 32-7 win. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 41st, while the Warriors are ranked 141st) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Cummings and Caiden Wood. Cummings had a great game and rushed for 113 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. Meanwhile, Wood did his best for the losing side, rushing for 64 yards, while also catching one TD.

West Laurens didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Juvon Hill and Shannon Adkins.

Meanwhile, Jenkins was able to grind out a solid victory over Peach County on Friday, taking the game 38-28.

Special teams played a big role in the game for Jenkins, adding 14 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Johnson, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

West Laurens' record is now 12-0. As for Jenkins, their record now sits at 11-1.
