Santa Teresa barely beat Valencia the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Desert Warriors put the hurt on the Jaguars with a sharp 3-0 win on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Desert Warriors.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-19, 25-13.

Vivian Castro paced Santa Teresa's offense, picking up 16 kills. Castro got some help from Bridgitte Sandoval and her 21 assists. Finally, Sovaia Lomanivere kept Santa Teresa's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Despite the loss, Valencia still got an impressive performance from Brooke Romero, who had 22 assists and eight digs. Jaiden Montgomery also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Santa Teresa's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Valencia, their defeat ended a six-match streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-3.

Santa Teresa didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Los Lunas on the 23rd. As for Valencia, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Valley on the 25th.
