Volleyball Game Preview: Schulenburg Shorthorns vs. Weimar Wildcats

The Schulenburg Shorthorns will head out on the road to take on the Weimar Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Weimar took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Schulenburg, who comes in off a win.

Weimar will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Schulenburg extended their winning streak to three on Friday. Everything went the Shorthorns' way against Ganado as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Schulenburg was: they took every set by at least 16 points. The final score came out to 25-6, 25-8, 25-9.

Meanwhile, Weimar didn't have quite enough to beat Flatonia on Friday and fell 3-2.

While Weimar ultimately came up short, they really made Flatonia work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-21, 22-25, 22-25, 15-11.

Schulenburg's win bumped their record up to 28-14. As for Weimar, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-12.

Schulenburg couldn't quite get it done against Weimar in their previous meeting two weeks ago as they fell 3-1. Can the Shorthorns avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
