Carroll extends home winning streak to 12

Recap: Carroll Cougars vs. Lewis Cass Kings

The Carroll Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 23 points or more this season. They blew past Lewis Cass 60-37. The win was familiar territory for Carroll who now have eight in a row.

Carroll got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Madison Wagner out in front who scored 19 points along with five assists and five rebounds. The matchup was Wagner's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Alli Harness, who scored 23 points along with seven assists and three steals.

Despite the loss, Lewis Cass saw an underclassman step up: Aftin Griffin scored 11 points. Griffin scored a full 29.7% of Lewis Cass' points, the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Hubner, who scored six points.

Carroll's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-2. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 25.33 points. As for Lewis Cass, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-2.

Carroll and Western will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Western is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
