Volleyball Recap: Richardson Takes a Loss

Richardson lost against Pearce back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eagles lost 3-0 to the Mustangs. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-16, 25-11.

Mackenzie Ratcliff paced Richardson's offense, picking up 11 kills. Ratcliff got some help from Vivian Miller and her 11 assists. Mariajose Cordero controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Richardson's defeat dropped their record down to 17-14. As for Pearce, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Richardson is set to challenge their familiar foe Berkner at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Pearce will face off against rival Lake Highlands at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
