Oxbow has gone 7-2 against Blue Mountain recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Olympians will venture away from home to challenge the Bucks at 4:30 p.m. Oxbow is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
On Tuesday, Oxbow made easy work of North Country Union and carried off a 13-1 win. The Olympians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by 11 runs or more this season.

Anastase Bourgeois was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 14 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in May of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mazie Bourgeois, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. Mackenna Houston was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Oxbow kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in seven consecutive matchups.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Blue Mountain and Richford meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again last Monday. The Bucks put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 15-1 victory. Considering the Bucks have won five games by more than 11 runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Like Oxbow, Blue Mountain also got a great game from a two-way player: Kaylee Hamlett. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. Hamlett has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.
In other batting news, Ava Kingsbury was a standout: she went 1-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Addison Murray, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs and one double.
Oxbow pushed their record up to 9-0 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their hitting performance: the team's won by an average of 12.4 runs thus far. As for Blue Mountain, their record now sits at 7-3.
Both Oxbow and Blue Mountain just can't seem to miss. The Olympians have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 13.9 hits per game. However, it's not like Blue Mountain struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.5 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Oxbow came out on top in a nail-biter against Blue Mountain in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 5-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Olympians since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
