Basketball Recap: North Union Find Success

North Union won the last time they faced Shawnee and things went their way on Friday too. The North Union Wildcats rang in the new year with a 48-36 victory over the Shawnee Braves. The 48-point effort marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The win got North Union back to even at 5-5. As for Shawnee, they moved to 6-3 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

North Union will square off against Indian Lake at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Shawnee, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-41 defeat against Bishop Ready on the 4th.
