Recap: Lebanon Blue Devils vs. Clarksville Wildcats
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Lebanon Blue Devils ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They secured a 65-61 W over Clarksville. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sheldon Huber, who scored 16 points. The matchup was Huber's third in a row with at least ten points. Kellen Howard was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Lebanon and bumps their season record up to 7-8. As for Clarksville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.
Lebanon will be playing in front of their home fans against Green Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Green Hill presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lebanon in Tennessee (Green Hill is ranked 48th, while Lebanon is ranked 212th). Clarksville won't have much time to rest: their next game is against LaVergne at 2:30 p.m. on December 30th.
