Football Preview: Coosa Eagles vs. Dade County Wolverines
Coosa and Dade County are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2014, but not for long. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Coosa will be strutting in after a victory while Dade County will be coming in after a defeat.
Having struggled with three losses in a row, Coosa finally turned things around against Armuchee last Friday. They secured a 19-14 W over the Indians.
It was another big night for Jyshughn Turner, who rushed for 117 yards and a touchdown. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 71-yard run.
Meanwhile, Dade County fell victim to Gordon Lee and their airtight defense last Friday. They took a 19-0 bruising from the Trojans.

Friday's contest will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Turner and Evan Koger. Turner has put up some stellar numbers this year, and currently owns excellent season averages 92.3 rushing yards per game this season. For his part, Koger has averaged 103.1 rushing yards per game this season.
Coosa was dealt a bruising 42-7 loss at the hands of Dade County in their previous matchup back in October of 2023. Thankfully for Coosa, Braylon Sullivan (who rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, and also picked up 113 receiving yards and a touchdown) won't be suiting up this time.
