Football Game Preview: Manchester Flying Dutchmen vs. Grass Lake Warriors

The Manchester Flying Dutchmen will square off against the Grass Lake Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Manchester will be strutting in after a victory while Grass Lake will be coming in after a loss.

Manchester had to skate by with only a one-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 40-point drubbing they dealt Brandywine on Friday. The Flying Dutchmen blew past the Bobcats, posting a 54-14 win.

Among those leading the charge was Walter Ahrens, who rushed for 92 yards and one TD on only 12 carries. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in October of 2024.

Meanwhile, Grass Lake had to suffer through a 46-12 loss at the hands of Michigan Center. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 401st, while the Cardinals are ranked 135th).

Manchester now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Grass Lake, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-6.
