            Football Recap: North Shelby Raiders vs. Knox County Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            North Shelby managed to slip by Knox County the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Raiders took a  blow against the Eagles on Friday, falling  58-24. Raiders fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Eagles since  Friday.
  Cooper Clair was  his usual excellent self, rushing for 167 yards and six  TDs for Knox County. That's the most  rushing touchdowns  Clair has posted since back in October of 2024.  Carrsen Hayes was another key back, rushing for 87 yards.
Having lost for the first time  this season, North Shelby  fell to 6-1. As for Knox County, they pushed their record up to 7-0 with the  victory, which was their fourth straight  on the road.
 Looking ahead, North Shelby will venture away from home to  challenge Schuyler County  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Raiders will be up against the Rams' rather soft defense (which has allowed 61.83  points per  game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Knox County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lincoln  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
