Football Recap: Red Mountain Takes a Loss

Red Mountain entered their matchup against Queen Creek on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Mountain Lions fell 30-22 to the Bulldogs. The contest was a 7-7 toss-up at halftime, but the Mountain Lions couldn't quite close it out.

When it comes to explaining why Red Mountain lost, don't look at Dominic Carmigiano. Despite the final result, he threw for 350 yards and two touchdowns. A healthy portion of that aerial production (91 yards to be exact) went to Airreon Windom.

Red Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Queen Creek, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Red Mountain will square off against ALA - Queen Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Queen Creek, they will face off against Salpointe Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
