Volleyball Game Preview: Desert Edge Scorpions vs. Buckeye Hawks

The Desert Edge Scorpions will square off against the Buckeye Hawks at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Desert Edge will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Desert Edge proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Sunrise Mountain 3-2.

Desert Edge was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (101-96), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 14-25, 25-16, 17-25, 25-22, 15-13.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Buckeye, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. Everything went their way against Washington on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 win.

Desert Edge pushed their record up to 14-7 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Buckeye, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season.
