Basketball Recap: Jackson North Side Takes a Loss

Jackson North Side was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat. They were dealt a 52-24 loss at the hands of the Lexington Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 350th, while the Tigers are ranked 104th).

Despite the defeat, Jackson North Side saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jada Vandiver posted 11 points along with seven steals and six boards. That's the most steals Vandiver has posted since back in November of 2024.

Jackson North Side's loss dropped their record down to 3-25. As for Lexington, they pushed their record up to 17-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home.
