Basketball Recap: Parkside Piles Up the Points Against Model Secondary School for the Deaf

Parkside had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 54-point drubbing they dealt Model Secondary School for the Deaf on Monday. The Parkside Eagles took their contest with ease, bagging an 83-29 win over the Model Secondary School for the Deaf Eagles. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 47-14.

Parkside was led to victory by Colby Murphy and Daiquan Smith. Murphy posted 24 points, while Smith put up 21 points. The game was Smith's third in a row with at least ten points. Marcus Scott was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Parkside now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Model Secondary School for the Deaf, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Parkside wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 89-63 loss against Friendship Tech Prep Academy on the 17th. Model Secondary School for the Deaf has also already played their next match, a 52-43 defeat against Ron Brown on the 17th.
