Basketball Recap: Legacy Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Legacy Christian Academy lost against El Camino Real back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Legacy Christian Academy Lions were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 70-69 to the El Camino Real Royals. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Lions came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 149th, while the Royals are ranked 424th).

This is the second loss in a row for Legacy Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 9-7. As for El Camino Real, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Legacy Christian Academy Lions face off against the Calvary Baptist Cougars at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday. Calvary Baptist knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Legacy Christian Academy likes a good challenge. As for El Camino Real, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Calabasas at 5:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
