Football Game Preview: Garfield-Palouse Vikings vs. Neah Bay Red Devils

The Garfield-Palouse Vikings will face off against the Neah Bay Red Devils at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Garfield-Palouse is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Washington's top teams: Inchelium, who was ranked 15th at the time (Garfield-Palouse was ranked eighth). The Vikings breezed past the Hornets to the tune of 82-38 on Saturday. The Vikings' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Neah Bay waltzed into their contest on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They really took it to the Acorns for the full four quarters, racking up a 76-18 win. The matchup marked the Red Devils' most dominant victory of the season.

Neah Bay's win came from a few key players Garfield-Palouse will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Tyler Swan, who rushed for 133 yards and four TDs on only nine carries. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making 17 total tackles (4.0 for loss) and defending one pass in addition to snagging an interception. Neah Bay also got a significant boost from Kane Greene, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 102 yards.

Neah Bay was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 365 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

One reason for the win was Neah Bay's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut VyLijah Daniels.

Garfield-Palouse's record now sits at 6-4. As for Neah Bay, their record is now 7-2.
