Softball Recap: Heritage Patriots vs. Norwell Knights

Heritage had lost four straight on the road, but on Saturday they dropped down to 8-7 to make it five. They came up short against the Norwell Knights, falling 19-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-10 on Saturday.

Isabella Myers was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.

As for Norwell, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-4. Considering they have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

On Norwell's side, Lillie Felton made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Felton was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2025.

In other batting news, Cyndall Pyle was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Kurtz, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Heritage wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 12-8 loss against Garrett on the 11th. As for Norwell, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 16-8 victory against DeKalb on the 11th.
