Football Game Preview: Greenbrier vs. Springfield

Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps state rankings, Greenbrier should expect quite the challenge on Friday. Their bye week comes to an end as they meet up with Springfield at 7:00 PM . Springfield will be strutting in after a win while Greenbrier will be stumbling in from a defeat.

Greenbrier were the first on the board but had to settle for second at the end of their game against Cheatham County Central two weeks ago. Greenbrier fell just short of Cheatham County Central by a score of 19-21. Greenbrier's loss continues a disappointing trend for the team, making it three losses in a row.

Meanwhile, Springfield put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season last Friday. They were the clear victor by a 45-24 margin over Portland. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Springfield had established a 38-16 advantage.
