Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Central). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the New Bern Bears 91-23. The Falcons' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Leading South Central to victory were Brook Evans and Niyani Mayo. Evans dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds, while Mayo almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine steals. Those 17 points gave Mayo a new career-high. Jazmine Farrington was another key player, going 7 for 9 on her way to 15 points and four steals.

South Central pushed their record up to 14-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.4 points per game. As for New Bern, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 14 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season.

South Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-49 win against Overhills on the 1st. As for New Bern, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Northside - Jacksonville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. New Bern is facing Northside - Jacksonville at the right time seeing as Northside - Jacksonville is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
