Basketball Recap: Desert Christian Snags 11th Victory in Last 12 Games

Desert Christian had won four straight road games and Tyson Dobbins did his part to make it five on Saturday. The Desert Christian Eagles walked away with a 49-36 victory over the St. David Tigers thanks in part to Dobbins, who dropped a triple-double on 23 points, ten boards, and 11 steals. The matchup was his 13th in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Samuel Nwosu, who went 5 of 7 en route to 10 points and eight rebounds. Those eight boards gave him a new career-high.

Desert Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.2 points per game. As for St. David, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.

When Desert Christian and St. David next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Desert Christian will face off against Morenci and their four-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Desert Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.9 points per game this season. Meanwhile, St. David will try to stop Fort Thomas' eight-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
