Softball Recap: Station Camp Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Station Camp, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Hendersonville Commandos 4-3 on Monday. This was a revenge game for the Bison: when they faced off against the Commandos last Friday, they had to take a 4-0 defeat.

Presley Kouba spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits.

On the hitting side, Cali Boyette was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Another player making a difference was Katelyn Wilson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Station Camp's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Hendersonville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Station Camp will face off against Greenbrier at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hendersonville, they will challenge Gallatin at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hendersonville is facing Gallatin at the right time seeing as Gallatin is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
