League recap: Cornerstone Christian Academy scores huge upset over Yuma

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Yuma, who took down 162nd ranked Yuma, 34-28.

Wray extended the longest winning streak in 1A North Central this week by beating Resurrection Christian, 55-27. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.

Brett Cumming was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 19 carries, he ran for 226 yards as Holyoke lost to Byers. Bradley Cumming also contributed to the rushing game with 70 yards on the ground.

Luke Mondt threw for 291 yards and three touchdowns. He went 16-29 with one interceptions.

Hasbrouck was the best wideout in the league this week as the Huskies fell to the Bulldogs. Hasbrouck tallied five receptions for 82 yards.

Thayer Sauter provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Wiggins beat the Dragons. He completed eight passes for 155 yards and three touchdowns and also ran for 149 yards. Sauter's favorite target this week was Terran Freauff, who caught four passes for 60 yards.

The Cougars' Mondt and Jake Lohr have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading 1A North Central in both passing and receiving yards. Mondt has thrown for 1674 yards this season, while Lohr, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 37 catches for 565 yards. The Tigers' Sauter leads the league in rushing yards with 1450.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Wray takes on Holyoke. Levi Kramer's team is currently in first, while John Zilla's team is in fourth.

The Eagles led the league in scoring this week after putting up 55 points on Resurrection Christian. Cade Reinick threw for 83 yards and ran for 195 yards in the win.
