Brother Rice had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Sandburg Eagles by a score of 2-0. The win continues a trend for the Crusaders in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

While Brother Rice won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-19.

Their offense was headlined by Vaughn Goberville and Carter Mosel, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Oliver McNichols and his 18 assists.

When it comes to explaining why Sandburg lost, don't look at Ethan Cleofe. Despite the final result, he had 11 digs and two assists.
