North Dakota modifies state basketball tournament to limit attendance

Crowd control mandatory in light of coronavirus; basketball schedules modified starting Friday.

The North Dakota High School Activities Association (NDHSAA) has modified its Class A basketball schedule to help limit the attendance to its games.

In reaction to the global coronavirus pandemic, the NDHSAA announced modifications to its state basketball tournament, beginning Friday.

Part of the release states:

"The restricted attendance will apply to semifinals (Friday March 13 at the Scheels Center) and third-place and championship games (Saturday, March 14 at Scheels Center).



"Fifth-place games will be played Saturday, March 14 at the FARGODOME. Each game will be ONE session of the tournament with the arena being cleared/cleaned at the end of each game."
