Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Franklin-Simpson

Franklin-Simpson extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Reesha Cawthorn. The Franklin-Simpson Wildcats blew past the Warren East Raiders, posting a 69-27 win thanks in part to Cawthorn, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 11 boards. That makes it ten consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Franklin-Simpson's points.

Another player making a difference was Ma'Jayla Butler, who posted five points and five rebounds. Those five points gave her a new career-high.

Franklin-Simpson's victory bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Warren East, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-4.

Franklin-Simpson will head out to square off against South Warren at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Franklin-Simpson is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.3 points per game this season. As for Warren East, they will host Allen County-Scottsville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
