Basketball Recap: Southeastern Prep Academy Victorious

Southeastern Prep Academy won the last time they faced DME Academy Regional and things went their way on Thursday too. The Southeastern Prep Academy Falcons came out on top in a nail-biter against DME Academy Regional, sneaking past 51-48. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Falcons have posted since December 27, 2024.

DME Academy Regional's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Naya Pajovic, who went 5 for 9 on her way to 15 points and five rebounds. Those 15 points gave Pajovic a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Shantell Wilks, who posted nine points and eight boards.

The victory got Southeastern Prep Academy back to even at 14-14. As for DME Academy Regional, their record is now 12-9.

Looking ahead, Southeastern Prep Academy will take on Potter's House Christian at 5:30 p.m. on February 13th. As for DME Academy Regional, they will face off against IMG Academy Blue at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. DME Academy Regional is facing IMG Academy Blue at the right time seeing as IMG Academy Blue is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
