Volleyball Recap: Central Dauphin Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Mechanicsburg

Central Dauphin faced Mechanicsburg in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Rams fell 3-1 to the Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in August.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 20-25, 25-15, 25-21.

Central Dauphin's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Mechanicsburg, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-1-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Central Dauphin will take on rival Chambersburg at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Mechanicsburg is set to face off against their familiar foe Altoona at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
