Dublin can bid farewell to their 13-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 20-4 margin over the Santa Clara Bruins. The Gaels' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Gianna Gutierrez tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Sydney Salazar, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, five runs, and two RBI. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sarah Bull, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Dublin kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-15. As for Santa Clara, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

Coming up, Dublin will welcome California at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Grizzlies will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Gaels surely won't give up without a fight. As for Santa Clara, they will head out to square off against Monta Vista at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bruins are facing the Matadors at the right time seeing as the Matadors are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
