Great Mills's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They blew past the Thomas Stone Cougars 15-6. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Great Mills got a massive performance out of Megan Cromwell, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlyn Thomas, who scored two runs while going 3-for-5.

Great Mills was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Thomas Stone only posted a batting average of .261.

Great Mills' win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 2-4. As for Thomas Stone, they are on a 22-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
