Volleyball Game Preview: Antioch Panthers vs. De Anza Dons

The Antioch Panthers are taking a road trip to challenge the De Anza Dons at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with 18 defeats in a row dating back to last season, Antioch turned things around against Miramonte on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Matadors.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-18, 20-25, 25-17.

Meanwhile, De Anza took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They put the hurt on Vallejo with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Dons as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

De Anza never let Vallejo on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-22, 25-18.

Antioch's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for De Anza, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
